How can I support you?

Coaching & Personal Development

Development begins with clarity

Would you like to change direction professionally, return to work after a break, plan your next career move or reassess your current situation? In one-to-one coaching, in person in Berlin & online and in English or German as you prefer, we create clarity about your starting point, your options and the prospects that suit you. We combine personal reflection with a realistic view of career paths, the job market and professional development. Professional questions are often closely linked to personal issues: values, motivation, self-confidence, conflicts or inner blocks influence our decisions just as much as our career opportunities. That is why, in coaching, I never look only at careers and positions, but always at the person behind them: career coaching and personal development belong together. Together we develop solutions that suit you professionally, personally and in the long term.

Career orientation & career development

You will be supported in shaping your professional path consciously and in realising your potential in a targeted way. Together we define individual goals, make your strengths visible and develop concrete strategies. Including a dedicated offer for international professionals and managers.

Free coaching with AVGS

Do you have an AVGS voucher?

Have you received an activation and placement voucher (Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein, AVGS) from the Federal Employment Agency (Agentur für Arbeit) or a Jobcenter? Then your coaching is free of charge! Coaching takes place in person in Berlin & online.

This offer is provided in cooperation with Business Trends Academy GmbH (BTA) (opens in a new tab), an accredited partner of the employment agencies and Jobcenters.

How it works: Have you already received an AVGS (or a commitment for one) from your employment agency or Jobcenter? In that case, the costs of the coaching are covered by them.

We start with a free initial consultation to clarify your coaching goals. If you then decide to work with me, I will coordinate the remaining formalities together with my partner BTA. You don't need to do anything else! As soon as the final approval for the coaching has been granted, we agree on the first appointments and off we go.

I look forward to hearing from you!

What my clients say

As a newly appointed team leader, I felt caught between all sides. My team can feel the change: our collaboration has become clearer, calmer and far more trusting.Tabea M., Team Leader(translated from German)
In coaching I understood which patterns had been holding me back for years and, above all, how I can change them. The conversations were honest and at the same time appreciative. Today I am much more at ease with myself and make decisions that truly suit me.Ahmed P., Business Development Manager(translated from German)
Warm, direct and incredibly effective. Thanks to Nicole I now lead my team with far more clarity and confidence.Jasper, Communication Strategist
Before, my application documents seemed interchangeable and had no recognisable message. After the coaching they have a clear profile, and after the interview training I come across as noticeably more confident in job interviews.Fabienne H., Head of Education(translated from German)
All I knew was that things couldn't go on like this, but not where I wanted to go. Through the structured sessions with Ms Klink I saw my strengths and priorities clearly and developed concrete options. Today I have a plan for my next career step and the courage to take it.Rene, Marketing Manager(translated from German)
A long-running conflict with a colleague was costing me a lot of energy. In coaching, using the conversation techniques I was shown, I learned to raise my concerns objectively and clearly without becoming defensive. It took time and wasn't easy, but today my relationship with this colleague is much better. We can finally work together constructively again.Mara T., Tourism Professional(translated from German)
I was constantly running on empty and thought that was just part of the job. In the coaching with Nicole I learned to set boundaries, prioritise what truly matters and say no without guilt. In my work, I bring together different perspectives on development and change. On the one hand, I accompany career and change processes; on the other, I have many years of experience in executive search, filling specialist and leadership roles up to middle management. For more than 10 years, this has allowed me to combine the individual's perspective with a deep understanding of career paths, employer requirements, organisational structures, leadership and collaboration. These different experiences enable me not only to support people with their current challenges, but to work with them on sustainable solutions for their professional and personal development.

On a personal note

Born in Berlin, I am a third-generation Friedrichshain local. I spent my childhood and youth in what was then a rather quiet Berlin, and I remain deeply rooted in this city to this day. My studies gave me the opportunity to try out different industries and professions and took me to Birmingham (UK) and New York (USA) for extended periods. Afterwards, I quickly found my way into the media industry. After successful years in publishing, I felt the wish for a professional change: I wanted to use my strengths and skills to accompany people for part of their personal journey. In my role as a coach, I have found exactly that.

In my private life, I enjoy connecting with both people and nature. I sing alto in a Berlin a cappella choir, love jogging and cycling, and simply enjoy good food and being outdoors. When I have a little more time on my hands, I am drawn above all to the mountains, where I pursue my passion for hiking, in company or on my own.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about my services

For individuals

How many coaching sessions will I need?

That depends on your concern and goal. A clearly defined topic, such as preparing for a job interview, can often be addressed in a few sessions, and sometimes even a single session is sufficient. For a career change or a personal development topic, I usually accompany you over a longer period. In the free initial consultation we estimate together what scope makes sense for you. Individual coaching has no minimum number of sessions: after each session you decide whether and how to continue.

How often do the sessions take place?

Your needs determine how often we meet, and we agree on the rhythm together. An interval of two to four weeks often works well, giving you time to try out new insights in everyday life. If an important date is coming up, such as a job interview, the interval can be shorter.

How is coaching different from psychotherapy?

Coaching is for people who want to clarify a professional or personal question, develop further or tackle a change. It builds on your resources and goals. Psychotherapy, by contrast, treats mental illness and belongs in the hands of licensed therapists. Coaching does not replace therapy. If during our conversations I get the impression that therapeutic support would be more helpful for you, I will say so openly.

Is everything I share in coaching kept confidential?

Yes. Everything you discuss in coaching is treated in strict confidence and is not passed on without your explicit consent. This also applies if your employer pays for the coaching: they receive no reports on the content. Whether you share anything yourself is up to you. If the coaching is funded, for example with an AVGS voucher, we discuss in advance which formal reporting requirements apply.

Can my employer pay for the coaching?

Yes, many companies support coaching as part of professional development. Feel free to ask your manager or HR department; I am happy to prepare a quote for this. If you pay for coaching yourself and it is work-related, you may be able to deduct the costs as income-related expenses (Werbungskosten) for German tax purposes. Please check with your tax adviser whether this applies to you. With an AVGS voucher, coaching is free of charge for you.

Where in Berlin does the coaching take place?

In-person sessions take place in Berlin-Mitte. Alternatively, we meet online via video. Both can also be combined, for example meeting in person first and holding further sessions online.

What do I need for online coaching?

A computer, laptop, smartphone or tablet with camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and a quiet room where you can talk undisturbed. You will receive the link to the session by email in advance. Headphones often improve the sound quality but are not a must.

Do I need to prepare for the first session?

No, no special preparation is needed. It helps to think about a few things beforehand: what is on your mind right now, and what would you like coaching to change? If you are not sure yet, that is perfectly fine. That is exactly what we clarify together.

For companies & organisations

Do you offer coaching for managers in our company?

Yes. Companies can commission individual coaching for their managers and employees, for example when stepping into a new leadership role, during change processes or in difficult leadership situations. Coaching takes place at your company, in Berlin-Mitte or online.

How does coaching work when our company pays for it, and what do we learn about it?

My point of contact is the person being coached, even if the company pays for the coaching. A joint meeting with the company at the start is possible but not required. I do not pass on reports or details about the coaching to the company. Whether and what information is shared is decided solely by the person being coached.

Do you come to our company for workshops?

Yes, I offer workshops and team days on site at your company anywhere in Germany, as well as in Berlin or online. For dates outside Berlin, travel costs are added, either reimbursed or covered by an agreed budget.

How many people can take part in a workshop?

Up to 14 people. This leaves enough room for exchange, exercises and the concerns of each individual.

How long does a workshop take?

That depends on the topic and goal: from a keynote talk to a half or full workshop day or a series of consecutive sessions.

Can the content be tailored to our company?

Yes. In a preliminary meeting I clarify your needs, your target group and the situation in the team. I then tailor content and methods accordingly instead of running a standard programme.

Are workshops also held in English, for example for international teams?

Yes, workshops and coaching are available in German and in English.
